Indications / 効能効果
EN: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Restricted to cases where adequate glycemic control has not been achieved with any of the following treatments and insulin resistance is suspected:
1. ① Diet and exercise therapy alone
② Diet and exercise therapy plus a sulfonylurea agent
③ Diet and exercise therapy plus an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor
④ Diet and exercise therapy plus a biguanide agent
2. Diet and exercise therapy plus insulin preparation
JA: 2型糖尿病
ただし、下記のいずれかの治療で十分な効果が得られずインスリン抵抗性が推定される場合に限る。
1.①食事療法、運動療法のみ
②食事療法、運動療法に加えてスルホニルウレア剤を使用
③食事療法、運動療法に加えてα-グルコシダーゼ阻害剤を使用
④食事療法、運動療法に加えてビグアナイド系薬剤を使用
2.食事療法、運動療法に加えてインスリン製剤を使用
Dosage and Administration / 用法用量
EN:
Usually, adults: 15–30mg of pioglitazone orally once daily before or after breakfast. Dose may be adjusted based on sex, age, and symptoms; maximum dose is 45mg/day.

JA: 〈食事療法、運動療法のみの場合及び食事療法、運動療法に加えてスルホニルウレア剤又はα-グルコシダーゼ阻害剤若しくはビグアナイド系薬剤を使用する場合〉
通常、成人にはピオグリタゾンとして15～30mgを1日1回朝食前又は朝食後に経口投与する。なお、性別、年齢、症状により適宜増減するが、45mgを上限とする。
〈食事療法、運動療法に加えてインスリン製剤を使用する場合〉
通常、成人にはピオグリタゾンとして15mgを1日1回朝食前又は朝食後に経口投与する。なお、性別、年齢、症状により適宜増減するが、30mgを上限とする。
Contraindications / 禁忌
EN: 2.1 Patients with heart failure or a history of heart failure
2.2 Patients with severe ketosis, diabetic coma or pre-coma, or type 1 diabetes
2.3 Patients with severe hepatic impairment
2.4 Patients with severe renal impairment
2.5 Patients with severe infection, perioperative state, or serious trauma
2.6 Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any component of this product
2.7 Pregnant women or women who may be pregnant
JA: 2.1 心不全の患者及び心不全の既往歴のある患者
2.2 重症ケトーシス、糖尿病性昏睡又は前昏睡、1型糖尿病の患者
2.3 重篤な肝機能障害のある患者
2.4 重篤な腎機能障害のある患者
2.5 重症感染症、手術前後、重篤な外傷のある患者
2.6 本剤の成分に対し過敏症の既往歴のある患者
2.7 妊婦又は妊娠している可能性のある女性
